HB0128 would assist Wyoming residents 65 years or older on fixed incomes

House Rep Tass presented this bill to protect seniors on fixed incomes from the dilemma of their property taxes continuing to rise every year when they have limited income.

This bill would freeze property values at the value they are once the individual turn 65 and applies with their county assessor. This value would be frozen for perpetuity or until the home sells.

When you read the impacts of this bill, you can see that the legislature is leaning on killing this bill. By voting to the affirmative, they allowed it to be opened for discussion.
